Kate has watched Alvin and the Chipmunks numerous times. She's memorized some scenes (very cute). Here's proof (with some coaching from her big brothers):

Kate's going through some kind of developmental spurt. Suddenly she is trying foods that she hasn't put in her mouth before. Can you imagine a toddler not wanting to even try cinnamon rolls? Her best friend Jack loves ribs, Kate refused to even touch them. Yesterday, at least she tried.

Today she wanted to help me with the preparation for the soup. She loved pressing the button on the food processor. In the past she'd asked for celery before (those Wonder Pets, you know?). Today she asked it again, and I replied that she'd not liked it before. She wanted it anyway and munched down to large pieces, go figure?

During dinner (where she did great with the Dutch vegetable soup) she started reciting whole scenes from Alvin and the Chipmunks.

"Let's talk about your song Dave .... " "... it sucks, who's gonna sing it? Justin? Fergie?"

She remembers more than I do, probably because she's seen the movie about 30 times. She has also been watching Kung Fu Panda, and is pretending to be Tigress, complete with kicking her legs up in the air, oh joy :-)

I haven't had time to do Christmas cards yet. (Still debating something for New Year's). So here are some of the pics I took when I was actually considering doing the cards :-)

My "office" is a spot in the basement, with 3 tables, some cabinets and my computer and a tv and a bunch of other stuff. It's often a messy spot. Luckily our basement is a walkout, so I have natural light. Unluckily it's been very cold and I couldn't really go down there when it was minus something outside.
